Mission

We believe that the Great Commission is the unfinished task left for the church until Jesus returns. The Great Commission is the command to make disciples of every nation, people, tribe, and tongue. We will seek to obey this command generally through our Great Commission Strategy and then specifically as we apply this strategy using an Acts 1:8 model (Spencer County/Louisville Metro, Kentucky/Southeast US, North America, and the World).

GREAT COMMISSION STRATEGY

  • We will prioritize underserved areas and cities (see Paul in Acts) as well as like-minded people and missionaries.
  • We will pray for the Great Commission on Sunday mornings and in our Community Groups.
  • We will give financially through our budget and special offerings throughout the year.
  • We will go on short-term trips both here in North America and to the nations.
  • We will equip future pastors, church planters, and missionaries for the Great Commission through the ministry of our church.

SPENCER COUNTY/LOUISVILLE METRO:

We will seek to display the gospel through missional living and declare the gospel by engaging people in our spheres of influence, inviting them to church using invite cards, and practicing hospitality. We will continue to foster and serve our local partnerships in various ways. We will continue to reach different parts of our area by multiplying our Community Groups and serving through our community groups. We will seek to help advance ministry in the Spencer County and Louisville Metro area by praying, giving, and going. We will do this in partnership with the Long Run Baptist Association.

NORTH AMERICA:

We will adopt a city in North American where we will seek to plant a church. This will involve us praying, giving, and going to see this become a reality. We will do this in partnership with the North American Mission Board and other like-minded churches. We will also support church planting efforts and missionaries in other areas of North America.

KENTUCKY:

We will adopt a city in Kentucky or Southern Indiana area where we will seek to plant a church. This will involve us praying, giving, and going to see this become a reality. We will do this in partnership with the North American Mission Board. We will also support church planting efforts and missionaries in other areas of Kentucky.

WORLD:

We will adopt an unreached people group where we will seek to plant a church. This will involve us praying, giving, and going to see this become a reality. We will do this in partnership with the International Mission Board. We will also support church planting efforts and missionaries in other areas of the World.
